Southern Cousins
Laura and Joshua came to Douglasville, GA last night. So we got together with Carl, Suzanne and the girls and we all went out to eat. It was a great time of reminiscing, laughing at the crazy things our kids do and making more memories. We learned that the capital of Georgia is in fact Atlanta. It was wonderful to get together and can't wait until they visit again.

Madres, Hijas, Hermanas, Amigas
Hi everyone, this is Olivia, (aunt to many of you), I had Angie set up this slideshow showing an album I had made up to depict the females in the family. Many of you have not seen it and I thought this would be a great way to give everyone a chance to see what it was all about. I hope you enjoy it. It was a lot of work, took a long time but it was truly a joy to do.
I have been in the process since I did this album, to do another one depecting the males in the family. I have been working on it off and on since 2004 and still have not finished. I am unable to get many pictures from family. I still need some of Antonio Contreras (Debbie's son), Brian Chojnacki and his children, Jessica and her family and Ethan Santana.
If you want to have these pictures in the albums for future generations to look at. Please send me copies (I am not computer literate so I do not want them e-mailed to me). I will make copies for the albums and have Angie add them to the blog.
Hope you enjoy everything.

View from the carport looking at tent, less than 30 minutes after everyone left the Open House. Praise GOD you had all left and were safe!!
That's all the debris I had flying at me while trying to make sure BJ got inside safe during the storm. I'm pointing to the cake I threw, no it didn't make me any faster. Believe it or not, I ran thru all that with only a few bruises.
Yes, this is the tent that we'd all been under. That storm was a doozy!!
The backyard tent we had up as well. Now that you've seen this, go back up and look at the pictures with the Blue Spruce trees in the background. They are NO MORE!! Both fell across the street and were completely uprooted. Needless to say, Daddy has a lot of damage to his house, and garage. Toni's truck suffered a little bit but will be fine. Again, we are all so very thankful nobody was seriously injured. BJ, Mari, Sue and I all got a bruise or two, but nothing near what it could have been. Our GOD is so good to have taken you all home safely. I love you!!

Miguel's 1st Communion
So Miguel made his 1st Communion yesterday. We went to
dinner afterwards and Miguel stuffed his face cake. It was a great day!! Mariano was being a stinker and wouldn't take any pics for me. The priest told the kids that he got approval from the pope to let them have grape juice instead of wine!!
I can't believe how quick these kids grow!!

Aunt Eileen
I want to thank each of you for your prayers and apologize for not getting an update to you all sooner. This past week has been so totally draining and I've not been in the office much at all to send an e-mail.
Momma had her heart catheter on Wednesday. That took about an hour and they brought her back to the room to wait for her cardiologist, who was at another hospital. They told us she had 2 blockages. One in the bottom back that was about 80% and the position it was in could cause more damage than good if he messed with it. They told us the other "suspicious area" was at the top front of her heart and this one would need to be looked at closer with an ultrasound to measure called an IVIS. But they needed him to look at her pictures to decide how to proceed next. He decided to come straight over and work on Momma. So about 4pm they took her back in the heart cath lab and told us they would be doing an IVIS (which is an ultrasound in the artery) to measure the blockage in the front. After 1-1/2 hours, Suzanne and I started getting REALLY nervous. It shouldn't have taken that long. The nurse came out to tell us they were still working on her and were having some difficulty getting stints in the bottom back blockage. This totally floored us, as that's NOT what they told us they were going in to do to her. To make a long story short, she had some arm pain in her right arm during the procedure that we found out 2 days later was a heart attack during the procedure they weren't even suppose to do. Yeah, I'm a little upset, can you tell?
They ended up keeping her there until Friday afternoon and we brought her home. She is still tires rather easily and will have go undergo another procedure in the very near future to repair the top front part of her heart. I'm praying she gets a referral to a different doctor who will perform her surgery at St. Joseph's here in Atlanta. I'm afraid of this previous group that caused more damage. Please keep us in your prayers for strength, healing and wisdom from our heavenly father.
Love you all,
Cousin Rene'
